Unitex International

A workplace, showroom and customer experience centre that balances a residential feel within an industrial setting, and features their product as the hero of the space.

Unitex International is Australia’s leading distributor of floor rugs. After experiencing a growing demand for their services, they needed to relocate to a larger space that would better showcase their product.

With over 300,000 rugs ready for same day shipping, Unitex asked us to create a space where their clients could see their core collection on display, combined with the ability to host industry and customer events. They also needed a workplace onsite for their growing team.

As a nod to their distribution capability, we created an industrial theme for the space. The suspended ceiling was removed, and we painted the exposed cavity black to elevate the design and draw more attention to the product display. The concrete polished floors further complement the high-end design. 

On arrival, the reception area feels warm and welcoming. A large island and bar area sits at the core of the floor plate, bringing together their people and their clients over lunch, exclusive events and product launches.

We created a dedicated workspace for their growing team, which sits alongside the client experience area.

The space also features an in-house photography studio, allowing the team to document and style their collections with ease.
